Love Never Fails

I receive an e-mail devotional everyday from Joel Osteen Ministry. I thought I would share this one! I thought it was neat how I choose this verse yesterday to post and this devotional talks about it today...

“Love never fails” (I Corinthians 13:8).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
We all have people in our lives that are difficult at times. Maybe it’s someone you work with, a family member or even your spouse. Relationships can be complicated, but remember: love never fails. The Word of God clearly defines love in 1 Corinthians 13. It says that love is patient and kind. It doesn’t seek its own way. Love doesn’t keep a record of wrongs. And most importantly, love never fails. Notice that this chapter doesn’t talk at all about how you feel. God’s love isn’t about feelings. It’s a choice. You can choose to be patient, even when you don’t feel like being patient. You can choose to be kind, even when you don’t feel like being kind. No matter what situation you find yourself in, you can choose love. You are never more like God than when you are walking in love. And when you are walking in love, you will never fail because love never fails. Open your heart to God’s love today. Ask Him to show you how to love others better. As you walk in love, you’ll find peace and live in victory all the days of your life!

A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love which never fails. Thank You for loving me so that I can be free to love others. Empower me, by Your Spirit, to walk in love no matter what I may face today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Happy Birthday baby girl!!! We love you so much! We hope you have a WONDERFUL 1st birthday!!

We already let her open one of her gifts this morning. We have another one for her to open this evening. I made cupcakes for us to eat tonight! I promise we will take LOTS of pictures and post them later! We will have a small birthday party for Emerson, Gregg and me this evening. On Sunday, we will have her actual birthday party!!

4 More Days...

Well, 4 more days and my baby will be 1!! Where has the year gone??? She is soooo much fun!! Here are a few of her "new" toys...she loves the bathtub and as you can see in one of the pictures she is playing with my shaving cream lid...she loves to play with her bumbo...I know it is not a toy and there was a safety recall on the thing but we are always right there when she is playing with it...when asked, she will SOMETIMES touch her head and her belly...the other night I asked her if she was ready for a bath and our precious little girl crawled from the living room to the bathroom...ok and the most exciting news...Emerson started walking Friday night...she is still doing a combintation, walking and crawling but you can tell the fear is gone. Emerson we LOVE you so much!! You are soooo much fun!! You bring smiles to our faces and you make us laugh sooo much!! I am sad to see you grow so fast but excited about what the future holds for us!! We love you baby girl!!!
