Happy Birthday Lola!!!

Our first baby girl turned 2 today!! We decided to have a little birthday party for her!! She had a carrot peanut butter cake with cottage cheese icing!! Yummy!! Or at least to the dogs!! Happy Birthday Lola!!

OUCH!!

Isn't this picture just pitiful!! I didn't have time to post this the other day. This shows her battle wounds from the shots. She was pretty cranky Wednesday and Thursday but she is back to her happy self today!! We are so blessed to have such a good and happy baby!! It just broke my heart when she didn't feel good.

2 Month Shots

Well, Emerson had her 2 month shots today. She is actually 7 weeks today! She weighs 11 lbs 5 oz and is 22 inches long. She is in the 75% in weight and 50% in height!! She had to get 3 shots today. It broke my heart but she did good! She is so sweet! I can't remember if I shared that we had to go to the ER a few weeks back. We went for eye discharge and while we were there her breathing rate was high and they heard a heart murmur. So, we were put in a trauma room. Since I have worked in the ER in the past it kind of scared me that they were keeping us in the trauma room. We had to see her pediatrician for a follow up and he wasn't to concerned about the murmur. He rated it a 1 out of 6 and the ER had rated it a 2 out of 6. Well, today he didn't hear the murmur!!! He said that he will evaluated it again at 4 months. He said that she looked perfect and that he still wasn't that concerned about it!!

Emerson Already Has A Boyfriend!!

Chris and Ashley, some of our best friends, had their beautiful baby boy today! Grayson Christopher was born at 3:18. He weighed in at 8 lbs 9oz and 22 inches long! He has huge hands and feet!! I think he might play football for the Razorbacks one day!! He is so cute! Everyone is doing great! Congrats guys!! You did a great job!! Happy Birthday Grayson!!

I Love Mommy's Hair

Emerson's new thing is to hold my hair as she is going to sleep. It is sweet but it hurts a little! The other night I replaced my hair with one of her soft little blackets. She looked so sweet!

We made it Wye Mountain and took some great pics with our new camera!! It was so beautiful there! We will try to make it to the festival every year! As we were leaving we saw Melanie, Jason and Riley Carlton. We decided to take some pics of the girls. Aren't they cute!!!

We must have worn Emmie out by being out there so long. When we got home she cried for about an hour and then fell asleep. She laid on my stomach like a little rag doll, she was out!! She or maybe I should say that I hit another milestone. Miss Emerson slept all night in her crib!!! She has been sleeping in her pack and play next to our bed but she can be a noisy sleeper. I am so proud of all of us!! She is getting to be so big!! It is scary how fast they grow!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Emerson's Aunt Ashley bought her this cute onesie to wear today!! It says "kiss me i'm irish" We are going to try to make it to Wye Mountain to take some pictures of Emmie with our new camera. That is if we can figure out how to use the thing! If we get some pics I will post them later!

First Big Girl Bath

Here is our sweetie getting a bath! We have been giving her a sponge bath but last night we gave Emmie her first big girl bath in her tub!! She was ok with it at first but then she got REALLY mad. I don't know if she got cold or not but we had to hurry up and put her lotion on and then get her dressed. After that she was back to our happy girl! And look at that little pot belly!! How cute is it!! This girl likes her formula...she was weighed the other day and she weighed 10lbs 3 oz!!! Girl is a growing!!

Emerson was cheering on the Hogs on Saturday!! It seemed to work becuase they won! Maybe she should have worn her outfit again yesterday because the Hogs weren't so lucky!

Meeting Great Grandma

We went to Stuttgart on Saturday for my nieces b-day. Happy Birthday Mica!! While we were there Emmie got to meet her Great Grandma!! My Grandma is 96 years old and Emerson is her 12th great grandchild!! It was so good to get to see them together. My Grandma had a stroke about 6 years ago and it made me so happy to see her and Emmie together!
