Green Beans Aren't That Bad!!

Well, Emerson finally tried some real food!! We started on Friday with green beans. She didn't make any funny faces. It didn't phase her at all. She is now trying squash and she likes it also. She has her vegies with her bottle twice a day. At her night feed she has a vegie, 2tbls of rice cereal and her bottle. I know it sounds a lot but she eats it up! Her next vegie will be carrots. Oh, we also got her a sippy cup. The one I bought was to hard for her to suck out of. But, she has already had water out of a sippy cup. It was just a different brand. So, we have to purchase some new ones. My baby girl is getting so big!! We love you baby!!

6 Months Old!!

Wow how time can fly!!!! We can't believe Emerson is already 6mo old!! Look at what a big girl she is! She is sitting up and playing with her toys, her new toys! Yes, Gregg and I gave her 2 new 6m+ toys today! We also bought her some sippy cups and changed her nipples to level 3!!

Emerson we love you so much!! We are so proud of all the precious little things you do!! Thank you for making us smile and laugh so much!!

Emmie had her nutrition study yesterday. She weighs 16lbs 10 oz and is 25 1/2 inches long! She is doing great!! Here are a few picks from yesterday. The first pick is in the brain lab. She just cracks me up. The second picture she is in the peapod. It measures her body fat.

Our sweet, sweet Emerson is growing up so fast!! She is sitting up for long periods of time. She just plays and plays!! And look at those funny faces!! She makes us laugh all the time!! We love you sooo much Emerson!!!

Emmie and I had lunch with Jackson and Melissa yesterday! We had a good time and will have to do it again!! Just an FYI for everyone, Children's Place has a lot of their clothes on sale for $3.99. So, Melissa and I got a few things for the kiddos!!

Check Out My Shades...

I got Emerson some sunglasses a while back. This is the first time she actually kept them on. She usually starts bucking and whining when I even try to put them on her. I am glad she left them on long enough for us to take some pics!! Isn't she the cutest!!

The Past 2 Weeks....

Well they have been fun but busy! Emmie started daycare at ACH and we love it!! Her teachers are the best. They are so sweet and make us feel so comfortable! She is sleeping in her crib for naps and like to be laid down instead of snuggling first. It is a good thing but I really liked the snuggling!! She has her cereal between 7 and 8 pm and then usually doesn't eat again until 7am. So, yes we are getting more sleep!!

My nieces and nephew, Grace, Ethan and Genna, were in Stuttgart last week. Emerson got to meet them for the first time. They were all so sweet with her!! She also got to meet her Uncle Mark and Aunt Jody. They gave her the cutest outfit and frog. I will have to post some pics of the outfit sometime!

Emerson also got baptized on Sunday. Yes, I know we already had her dedicated at our church but there was something about getting baptized. I guess it is because I was baptized. My mom made her a beautiful gown for her and Mica let her borrow her gold bracelet and gold cross necklace. Which was a good thing because I forgot her sweet little pearl bracelet.

So, that is about it. We are trying to get use to the schedule of leaving work, spend time with Emerson, eating, feeding her and getting her ready for bed. Before we know it, it is 10pm and time for us to go to bed. We will figure it all out!!

4 Month Dr. Appointment

Emerson had her 4 month check up on Friday. She got 3 shots and she did so well! She weighs 14 lbs 4 oz and they measured her at 25 inches but I don't think that is right. We had a nutrition study on Monday and she was 24 1/4 inches. There is no way she grew 3/4 inch in 4 days. She was a little fussy after the shots but not as long as last time. The picture is of Emerson's pediatrician, Dr. O'Neill. We really like him!!

I Heart Rice Cereal!!!

Emerson tried rice cereal for the first time on Friday. She LOVED it!! It was so funny!! She made so many crazy faces but as you can see she started helping Gregg.

I go back to my regular hours tomorrow and Emerson will start daycare. Please say a prayer for me!! I know she will love it and have a great time. Her teachers are very sweet! I just hope I don't cry to much!!
